Mid-GBF update

Beginning side note: GBF = Global Bridegroom Fast. We at the International House of Prayer take a few days out of the month to fast because we miss Jesus and want more of Him in this age.

The week is going well. I have rediscovered the beauty of fasting: that it tenderizes your spirit to receive more from God. I have enjoyed the last 4 days of the fast sitting before the Lord and letting His word wash over me. As I peer into His word I am starting to get revelation like I have in times past. Oh how I miss the kisses of His word! They are subtle, yet unmistakable. You read a verse and something sparks and comes alive in your heart. It is what I am living for. I must feel exhilaration in my heart. I long to be fascinated and exhilarated and the only true way is through and by Jesus. I am starting to experience that fascination once again.
