Update

Ahh, the blogging dull drums. I have not blogged in a month and it is doubtful that anyone is still reading, but here is a quick update...

For the past few months I have been fighting, wrestling, or whatever you want to call general unrest that results in burnout. The Lord is so faithful though and is teaching me the pace in which to run. I am not to run ahead of Him (striving), or lag behind (laziness). There is a place of rest & abiding we must find in the Lord, and He promises it to those who are "weary and heavy laden" (Matt. 11:28-30). I am starting to find that pace. I am starting to find that peace.

Fun things going on in my neck of the woods:

1. The Lord has given IHOP ATL a home. The papers were signed last week on a permanent location for the House of Prayer and we will hopefully move in by June. This is a huge praise report and very exciting for us, as we have been sharing a building with a church and breaking down every Saturday am, moving to our "annex" a block over, and setting back up on Sunday in time for Encounter Service at 6pm. It has certainly been a time of learning, sharing, and stewarding, but we are ready for a home. Praise God!

2. Papa Lou Engle is coming to town for our Passionate Pursuit Conference! I am so excited! He will be preaching, along with Billy Humphrey (our director) and Corey Russell from IHOP-KC. It should be a fruitful time for birthing something in our city.

3. I am finally feeling more settled in the house I moved into at the end of last year. But, now we may have to move, as the owners have moved to Charlotte and are expecting their first child. I need revelation as to why the Lord is moving me around so much!

Well, that is about it for now. I am off to rest, for it is the Sabbath, then to a fiesta! Olay!
