Last Friday,
Bound4LIFE ATL had our Fall Rumble. We didn't invite anyone special to come and speak, as we've done in the past, but went straight into worship and intercession. It was the prayer meeting to end the 40 Days for Life and we saw a number of new faces.
I felt it was very strategic, as it fell on the
Day of the Dead, when people (mainly Mexicans) "honor" their deceased relatives. Instead of celebrating death, we were prophesying LIFE! Additionally, it was a year out from the 2008 Elections, and we were able to pound on that for a bit too.
Personally, it was a different kind of Rumble for me. There was no authority figure or spiritual "father" there. The Lord was (and is) teaching me to trust in Him to hear His voice and lead others. I sure have a lot to learn! It was my first time leading this type of prayer meeting, but overall I felt pretty good about it afterward, knowing that I did my best to mobilize the city to come, and then to hear God and lead others into intercession. The best part about it is, it doesn't matter how good I did, because God heard our prayers and He WILL answer them because they are according to His will.
